- This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS), National Wildlife Research Center (NWRC) intends to acquire construction services for the installation of a replacement roof at the Animal Research Building #2, Ft. Collins, Colorado. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, testing, and supervision necessary to design and replace an existing 36,000 SF EPDM roof on Building #2 at the facility and other general construction necessary to complete this project. All work shall be done in accordance with the latest applicable codes and regulations. This requirement is subject to Davis Bacon wage rates. It is anticipated that a single award will be made. All effort shall be completed within approximately sixty-five (65) days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This requirement is Set Aside for Small Businesses. This is a Full and Open Procurement after Exclusion of Sources which is to be awarded as a fixed price contract to the most qualified company based upon best value not low bid. The successful company will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds (reimbursable costs). A pre-bid site visit to the facility is required and will be reflected in the solicitation. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The reference number to be used on all documents submitted in reference to this project is NWRC-RF-01003. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about August 11, 2006 and proposals will be due on September 11, 2006. This procurement is a Small Business Set Aside, NAICS code 238160 (Small Business Size Standard - $13 million). All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. Responses will be due no later than 4:30 p.m. local time (state of Maryland) on September 11, 2006.
