Description

The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive order to Siemens Communications, Inc. of Reston, VA for on-site maintenance of the USGS' existing Hicom 80 telephone system in Menlo Park, CA, RCM remote phone systems in Redwood City and Sacramento, and the phonemail system. This is the only known source that has access to the Siemens Technical Assistance Center, which is manadatory for technicians who provide maintenance on the equipment. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement to the Contracting Officer (rdonez@usgs.gov) no later than the response date shown in this annoucement. This procurement is pending availability of funds and will be processed to the point of award.
