The National Park Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and woman-owned business enterprises. Asbestos abatement and lead paint removal at Desert Studies Center, Mojave National Preserve, Solicitation Number N8380070004. The National Park Service requires a firm fixed prince contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise to perform all operations required for successful completion of the project named above. The two buildings affected are located at the Desert Studies Center located within the Mojave National Preserve, the site is the former Zzyzx Mineral Springs Resort. Work site is 11 miles southwest of Baker, California. Work consists of abatement and disposal of asbestos containing floor tile and mastic; and removal and proper disposal of lead based paint. The NAICS code for this project is 562910 and the small business size standard is $13.0 million. Contract duration is 21 days following the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $50,000. This procurement is a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is subject to the provisions of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties at a later time and date. Submittal period for proposals will be 30 days.
