- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract on a sole source basis with Alliant Tech Systems, Integrated Systems Division, Clearwater, Florida for a Class 1 Engineering Change (ECP) development effort for an improved AAR-47A(V)2 sensor design which improves Probability of Detection performance in the current GWOT operating environments. The sensor redesign will not affect sensor ?form or fit? nor aircraft wiring. This action will be a Cost plus Fixed Fee Delivery Order under BOA N00019-05-G-0014. As the sole designer and manufacturer of the AN/AAR-47(V)2, Alliant Tech Systems is the only firm that possesses the engineering data, manufacturing capability, and knowledge of the AAR-47 design necessary to perform this development effort for an improved AAR-47A(V)2 sensor design.
