Description
This Federal Business Opportunity Announcement is notice that Tri-Service Regional Business Office (TRBO) Regions 6, 7 & 8 which includes 46 Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Wyoming are initiating the standardization process for the product line of DISPOSABLE SKIN STAPLERS. The intent of this standardization is to establish regionall y preferred sources for hospital supply items and to standardize purchasing of these products for the MTFs. Clinical Product Team (CPTs), composed of healthcare workers who have expertise and knowledge of the products, will evaluate this product line. Th ey will review and technically evaluate the products submitted. Their recommendation can be accomplished by literature review, presentation, demonstration, or clinical evaluation. Suppliers may be required to provide clinical samples at no cost to the gov ernment for the evaluation. Review the DMMonline website @ https: //dmmonline.dscp.dla.mil/standardization to learn more about the Regional Standardization Program. Vendors interested in having their products evaluated for possible inclusion in the standardization process should carefully review the stated require ments below. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS for DISPOSABLE SKIN STAPLERS include, but are not limited to: 1. Skin staplers preloaded with 35 regular and skin staplers preloaded with 35 wide medical grade stainless steel staples 2. Single use sterile disposable ski n staplers 3. Non-stop feed action to reduce jamming 4. Pre-cock staple function for exact staple positioning 5. Available with fixed head and/or multi-directional release head 6. Grip must be ergonomically designed 7. Must have a positive ratchet mechanis m 8. Must have a staple alignment indicator 9. Staples must be lubricant coated stainless-steel 10. Company must have staple remover kits available. If your company currently holds a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) for the Medical-Surgical produ ct line of DISPOSABLE SKIN STAPLERS your company is eligible to participate in the standardization effort for this region. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you may still be eligible to participate in this standardization effort for this region by contacting the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), Ms. Kim Nichols at (215) 737-7124 or e-mail (Kim.Nichols@dla.mil) to apply for a DAPA. Your company will be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP and you provid e your DSCP log number to Jim Quinn at (210) 916-6309 or email: james.quinn@amedd.army.mil . If your company can provide DISPOSABLE SKIN STAPLERS, please forward literature of all items available from your company that meet the product descriptions above and any corresponding product literature no later than October 27, 2006. Those companies that do not reply by this date may be eliminated from consideration.
