- Seeking qualifying HUBZone and/or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors nationwide or 8(a) vendors located in either New York State or New Jersey for Interior/Exterior painting of various public buildings and exterior paintin g of family housing quarters at the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY under a delivery-order contract with a current estimated value of up to $11.7 million over 5 years. PRINCIPAL FEATURES: The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to the following principal features: a. Cleaning and preparation of all surfaces to be painted or repainted. b. Interior and exterior painting. c. Removal of indicated items and reinstallation of same after painting is completed. d. Wire brush, prime, and paint all ornamental iron work and metal surfaces.. e. Caulking. f. Replacement of defective putty. g. Replace deteriorated wood fascia, soffit, trim, and siding. h. Repair/repoint exterior masonry. i. Floor refinishing. j. Lath and Plaster work. k. Wall covering work. l. Cleaning & Sealing Ceramic Tile. m. Carpentry work. n. Removal of lead paint. Interested qualifying firms are asked to provide a brief statement of qualifications to perform this contract, including designation as an 8(a), HUBZone and/or SDVOSB firm; size of business; geographical location; list of three (3) projects of similar siz e and scope to that anticipated herein; and bonding capabilities.
