- Description
- The Contractor shall furnish transportation services for transporting the Government?s reefer freight by the Contractor?s reefer trucks (2 to 10 ton loading capacity reefer trucks) as set forth in the Pricing Schedule, in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions of the contract and applicable Government of Japan (GOJ) laws and trade practices. The area of performance shall be throughout Honshu, Kyushu and Hokkaido to meet transportation requirements. The anticipated performance start date is 1 Mar 07. Offerors shall propose a transportation rate that includes but is not limited to tolls, licenses, costs of overtime, holiday work, or for operations during stormy and or inclement weather. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer represents the best value to the U.S. Government considering the evaluation factors stated in the solicitation. The solicitation is exempted from set-aside for small business for all trucking services. A pre-proposal conference will be scheduled at Yokota Air Base and more details will be posted on this page. NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM THE SERVICE IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN.
