Description
It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine to procure the training listed below as a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is an unrestricted procurement for the following training: ITIL Practitioner Training that focuses on the following: The implementation and management of the Support and Restore processes and functions that are responsible for achieving control and stability within an IT infrastructure and include effective Service Desk, Incident Management, and Problem Management, based on an effective Restore and Support system; and the implementation and management of the Release and Control processes and functions that are responsible for achieving control and stability within an IT infrastructure and include effective Change and Release Management, based on an effective Configuration Management system. Pricing shall reflect any quantity discount. The following Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provisions and clauses apply: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Jan. 2006). 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (June 2006). 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Sept. 2005). 52.212-4 Addendum to Clause for Year 2000 Compliance (July 1997). 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Aug. 2006). Anticipated date of award is no later than October31, 2006. The courses must be offered before the end of December 2006. Closing date and time for receipt of offers is 12PM Eastern Standard Time on October 20, 2006. PROPOSALS ARE TO REMAIN EFFECTIVE FOR 60 DAYS AFTER CLOSE OF SOLICITATION. Offers may be submitted on company letterhead stationery indicating nomenclature; part number; unit price and extended price, FOB point; payment terms and any discount offered for prompt payment, the business size standard and any minority classification; delivery date, and Representation and Certifications contained in FAR Clause 52.212-3, including Alternate I. The proposed acquisition will be procured under FAR Part 13-Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a Request for Quotations (RFQ) and no other document will be issued. Sources interested in responding to this notice must submit a response via mail fifteen (15) business days from the publication date of this notice.
