- Suppression Rehab of Roads project for the Descanso District on the Cleveland National Forest is located in San Diego County, California. This project consists of work included here, but not limited to: Road and staging area rehabilitation to repair fire suppression damage incurred during the Horse Fire. The contractor is responsible for site access for all equipment. The work site locations from San Diego, CA, travel Interstate 8 east for approximately 50 miles to Buckman Springs Road exit. Take the Buckman Springs Road south approximately 5 miles. Turn right on Morena Stokes Valley Road (Corral Canyon Road) and travel approximately 6 miles to the Corral Canyon Off Road Vehicle Area. The sites are located on the following list of forest roads in this area: Corral Canyon Road, Skye Valley Road, Corte Madera Road, Los Pinos Road, Horsethief Road, Hauser Creek Road, South Boundary, Four Corners Staging Area, and Horsethief Staging Area. The recommended contract time is 60 calendar days. Contractors must be registered in Central Contractors Registry BEFORE a proposal is submitted. Proposals will not be considered without a CCR number. Registration can be done online at http://www.ccr.gov. Estimated price range is between $50,000 and $150,000.
