- The Acquisition Service Center VISN 9 on behalf of VISN 9 intends to award a sole source contract, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 to a firm by the name of MD Consult for an on-line subscription access for VISN 9 site(s). The requirement is for site licenses and web-based access for physician's clinical references and resources /internet access license service. The Online Reference System contains a proprietary search and retrieval system that searches approximately 40 reference manuals, 35 of which are unique to MD Consult, and not available through any other online reference services. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. Qualified businesses other than the sole source company (MD Consult) must identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by submitting their capabilities in writing, plus a list of three references from similar facilities who are currently using your product, to the Contracting Officer on or before October 17, 2006 3:00 p.m., Central Time. All qualified offerors shall be considered. If no responses are received by October 17, 2006 the VA shall proceed with negotiations with MD Consult.
