- DESC: 6650-01-078-1180, Part Number 12282271, The item to procure is a Mirror, Optical Instrument P/N: 12282271 consists of a support made from aluminum casting, 356-T6, mirror is from an aluminum alloy 6061, with reflectivity coating, 3 shims, and o ne bronze weight. The mirror is attached with a Polysulfide adhesive. The approximate size of the Mirror, Optical Instrument is 18 inches x 4.5 inches x 4.0 inches with tests that include a mechanical shock and an elevated temperature thermal stability. FO B destination. Requirements are 300 each, Mirror, Optical Instrument. FOB is Destination. For use on the M1 Abrams Tank, estimated issue date is 20 Jun 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time s et for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. The proposed contract will include a three (3) 50 percent options. Proposed contract is 100% small business set-aside. First Article Test (Contractor Testing) is required.
