Date Submitted: 21 Aug 2006 OC-ALC/CBSG-PKP COMBAT SUSTAINMENT WING 3001 STAFF DR STE 2AE1/109B TINKER AIR FORCE BASE OK 73145-3032 28--VANE, SECTOR SOL FA8104-06-R-0553, OC-ALC/CBSG-PKP TINKER AFB OK 73145-3015, For additional information contact John McKeel/CBSG-PKP/[405] 739-5492 Item 0001 NSN 2840-01-191-1936PR P/N: 1276M96P02, Vane Sector, Vane segment Appr. 10.4 inches long & appr. 5.698 inches wide at outer band and tapering to approx. 3.109 inches at inner band and approx. 1.637 inches thick. Converts gas energy in the form of static pressure into gas energy in the form of velocity to direct gas flow onto the turbine blades. Applicable to: F110-100 Engine. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base Ok 73145-3032. Delivery: starting 31 DEC 2007, desired delivery 467 ea monthly, required 300 ea monthly, a quantity of 1343 will be acquired. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation/procurement data is approved for release only to U.S. DOD contractors who are registered and certified with the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). Submission of DDform 2345 Military Critical Technical data Agreement, with your request for the solicitation is required as specified in the International Traffic in Arms regulation (ITAR), 22 CFR Sections 121 through 128. Also, prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) managed by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) prior to award of a contract or agreement. First Article Government testing will be required for sources not producing the item within the last 36 months. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. The approximate issue date will be 05 Sep 06. Approximate closing date will be 05 Oct 2006. The anticipate award date is 30 Nov 06. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. Pre-qualified sources: General Electric Co Aircraft Engine, Cincinnati Oh 45215-1988,Volvo Aero Norge, Kongsberb, N-3601 MO, Howmet Corp, Winsted, Ct 06098, and Johnson Tech. Inc., Muskegon, MI 49442, Walbar engine components,1303 Aerowood, Mississauga Drive, Canada, l4W2P6, Therm Incorporated, Hudson St ext, Ithaca, NY, 14850 – 5999, and Barnes Group inc., 169 Kennedy Rd, Windsor, CT, 06095 – 2043. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requester is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which if timely shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
