- The U. S. Department of the Interior, National Business Center, intends to make a firm-fixed price, sole source award to Digital Receiver Technology, Germantown, MD. GovWorks/DOI intends to issue a Purchase Order in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items and 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This non-competitive action is being issued by GovWorks under the authority of the U. S. Department of Interior Franchise Fund on behalf of the US Army, Program Management Office - Airborne Reconnaissance Low. The US Army has a need to upgrade their DRT-1201B-0408PRS wireless receiving systems. This system meets the weight and space requirements of the Airborne Reconnaissance Low aircraft. Digital Receiver Technology is the sole manufacturer and current provider of this equipment and has successfully demonstrated acceptable performance in an operational environment. This system is the only National Security Agency approved system available at present. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. The intent of this Special Notice is for informational purposes only. However, all information received by 4:30 p.m. EST October 12, 2006 will be considered by the Government.
