Description
AMENDMENT 0002 W912P8-06-R-0237 Amendment Number 2 During the site visit held on 26 September 06 the following questions were presented. 1. How did we come up with the average tree size? Answer: The average tree size was based on data supplied by FEMA and reviewed by USACE Mission Manager on a sample size of approximately 1000 trees. Results were as follows less than 6 was 1 percent, 6 to 24 was 69 percent, 25 to 36 was 24 percent and above 36 and above was 5 percent. This is for information purpose only. 2. Will we be paid the same price for each tree regardless of size? Answer: Once the Government has identified a tree for removal you will be reimbursed based on the CLIN price for that size of tree. 3. How long will it take to be paid once we invoice? Answer: The contract will have a fast pay clause inserted. It will take approximately 14 days. 4. Can we get a copy of the sign in sheets? Answer: A copy of the sign in sheet is attached. 5. Please define what the specs are for the statement in services which says woody debris shall be reduced? Answer: Can be either shredded or burned. No preference but must abide by Local & State Laws. 6. Where are the landfills located that are to be utilized in Orleans and St. Tammany? Answer: There are no landfills pointed out in this requirement. Choose is up to the contractor. 7. What are the hours of operation a contractor can perform? Answer: Daylight hours 8. Bids are given on 24 to 36 trees. What will be the compensation for larger trees if and when encountered? Answer: A revised bid schedule has been included. 9. Will there be fees payable to the city of New Orleans for determining any Live Oaks or other trees are to be cut? If so, what will be the fee per tree? What is the number of trees anticipated to require any fees be paid on? Answer: Any cost associated with Oak trees should be included in your each price. CHANGES TO THE SOLITATION 1. Response to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is changed from 3 October 06 to 6 October 06. 2. The Contractor is required to provide the following insurance coverage as a minimum: Workers Compensation minimum $1,000,000.00, General Liability $1,000.000.00 per occurrence, Automobile Liability $500,000.00 per person, $1,000,000.00 per occurrence, $50,000.00 per occurrence for property damage 3. A new Bid sheet is being enclosed. 4. Contract Terms and Conditions: Add FAR 52.228-16 Performance and Payment BondsOther Than Construction. 5. The Contractor is required to furnish a Performance bond for 100 percent of Original Contract Price and a Payment bond in an amount equal to 100 percent of the original contract price. 6. Tree size measurement will be made 2 (two) feet above ground.
