Description
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) coordinates an integrated network of state and local public health, federal, military, and international laboratories that can respond to bioterrorism, chemical terrorism and other public health emergencies. There is a potential that personnel working in laboratory settings could be exposed to B. anthracis either through laboratory accident or a deliberate exposure. In order to provide the highest level of worker protection and to allow the continuity of operations under all conditions, the CDC has developed a program to offer Anthrax Vaccine Adsorbed (AVA) inoculations to eligible individuals. Thus, the CDC contemplates entering into a contract to obtain assistance from an organization with the capability to deliver AVA injection services as well as administrative support for the scheduling, delivery and information management of these services. The contractor will be working in conjunction with the CDC to vaccinate high risk workers against anthrax located in at least 165 locations throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Various quantities and sites. There is a base period of performance of 12 month and two option periods of 12 months eavh. The total base and option periods shall not exeed three years from date of award. CDC will consider all responsible sources responding to this RFP. All questions/concerns about the RFP shall be submitted via e-mail to BBiltz@cdc.gov. The solicitation will be available for downloading when issued, approximately on October 24, 2006. It is your responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding the RFP on the Fedbizopps Website.
