- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service has a requirement for commercial licensing of Smokey Bear. The objective of the commercial licensing for Smokey Bear are to: manage the licensing vendors, keeping applications current and reviewing new products and opportunities; Research and promote products that communicate a clear fire prevention message; Protect the image and integrity of the Smokey Bear as a fire prevention symbol; Encourage private enterprise by providing potential licensees with marketing advice and product placement; provide income to the USDA Forest Service through the collection of royalties, which are in turn used for fire prevention programs; and Maintain image and appearance of all licensee products within the intent of the Smokey Bear fire prevention program. The contractor must be capable of establishing and maintaining a web site containing the current listing of all licensed companies, approved artwork, providing forms on how to apply and contact information. The contractor must have the computer hardware, soft ware and telecommunication equipment necessary to prepare licensing contracts and send and receive electronic communications. See Solicitation AG-3187-S-06-0004 for additional information including the Statement of Work entitled Licensing Program Smokey Bear dated January 10, 2006 for requirements. NAICS code 541613 will be used for this acquisition. It is contemplated that a firm fixed price contract will be issued as a result of this solicitation. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A PROPOSAL FOR CONSIDERATION. Prospective offerors are hereby on notice that any amendment(s) issued to this solicitation will be published in FedBiz OPs. It is the Offerors’ responsibility to visit the FedBiz Ops frequently for updates. If an amendment is issued and the Offeror does not acknowledge it, the offeror may be considered nonresponsive to the solicitation. All amendments must be acknowledged. The USDA FS will not be liable for any cost associated with the preparation of responses to the RFP, nor reimburse or otherwise pay any costs incurred by any party responding to this announcement. The Government may award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offers conforms to specifications and will be the most advantage to the Government.
