Description
AMENDMENT: Please note the following changes to the pre-solicitation notice: The Licensing Conference may be held in March, April or May 2007 in Baltimore or Annapolis, MD or in Washington, DC. May 2007 has been added as a timeframe and Dallas, TX has been eliminated as a possible site for the conference. SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, and hotel services of a qualified hotel for OCC's Licensing Conference to be held in March or April 2007 in Baltimore, MD; or Dallas, TX; or Washington, DC. This is a three and a half-day conference. The estimated maximum number of guest rooms per night is 50. The program may consist of a general session on three and a half days for 60; two concurrent sessions for about 30 each on two days; continental breakfasts; a reception; and a number of refreshment breaks. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Hotel & Travel Index; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: The OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation at this web site in October 2006. The solicitation document will contain the conference requirements, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This is NOT a small business set-aside. It is a full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible vendors may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract in November 2006. *****
