- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA, intends to procure, on a sole-source basis, licenses and updates for Silicon Graphic Software. Maintenance coverage is being obtained for SGI-supported software products currently installed, or to be acquired and installed, on designated SGI hardware systems procured for the NAWS China Lake and NAWS Point Mugu. Maintenance coverage consists of: (1)Software updates; (2) Subscription to SGI's technical newsletter. (3)Telephone assistance with software issues (via a toll-free number), including reporting of software bugs.(4) Updates of SGI's on-line support library/documentation.; (5) Right to use/copy the latest SGI software versions. Licenses and updates along with technical software support for the software is being obtained for one year, with options for two years of additional licenses and updates. A sole-source solicitation will be issued on or about 1 November 2006 and will close 30 days thereafter.! The solicitation will be issued to Silicon Graphics Federal, Inc, 18201 Von Karman Ave, Irvine, CA, 92612. Silicon Graphics is uniquely qualified to supply the products requested because the software is their proprietary commercial software. This requirement is for a Follow-On effort for contract number N68936-01-D-0227. Award is anticipated on or about 30 November 2006. Notes 22 and 26 apply.
