Description

Previous notice is replace with the following. This is a notice of intent to establish a medical records coding non-personal services contract in support of the Patient Administration Division of Moncrief Army Community Hospital, Ft Jackson, South C arolina. The requirement is for Medical Records Technicians to code 300 outpatient encounters or 150 Ambulatory Patient Visits or an equivalent mixture of both. Each Technician must have working knowledge of Ambulatory Procedure Groupings (APGs), Relativ e Value Units (RVUs), Diagnosis Related Groupings (DRGs), International Classification of Diseases-Version 9 (ICD-9), and Current Procedural Terminology-Version 4 (CPT-4) and be capable of providing medical records coding services. Knowledge of and abilit y to use DoD medical information systems such as Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), and Third Party Outpatient Collection System (TPOCS) is highly desirable. The government intends to awar d a commercial firm fixed-price with performance incentive fee contract with a base period of performance of 1 January 2007 through 30 September 2007 with four annual options to cover fiscal years 2008 through 2011. All responsible sources may submit a pr oposal which shall be considered by this agency. The request for proposal shall be posted to the FEBBIZOPS website on or about 29 September 2006.
