- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District is issuing a Request For Quote (RFQ) for a contractor to provide all labor; support equipment and other related requirements outlined in EM 385-1-1, Section 30 dated 3 November 2003 http://www.usac e.army.mil/publications/eng-manuals/em385-1-1/c-30.pdf for diving operations at the Troy Lock and Dam; Hudson River, Troy; New York. The contract will be for one base year and four option years. Surface supplied air with voice communication will be used for all diving activities. All work will be performed dur ing one 8-hour work day. Typically, the work will be performed during the first week of December each year; however, the Government reserves the right to schedule the work at any time with adequate notice and coordination with the Contractor. On the day of performance, the dive team shall be on the site and prepared to work between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M. with a half hour lunch period. The work that may be required to be performed by the dive team consists of underwater inspections and/or clear ing debris at various features of the Troy Lock and Dam, including but not limited to the lock walls, dam spillways, upper and lower cofferdam sills, gate sills; gates, culvert valve trash racks, guidewalls, etc. This is a 100% set-aside for small business . The applicable NAICS Code is 561990 with a small business size standard of $6,500,000.00. All responsible quoters may submit one quote to be considered. The solicitation will be issued on or about 29 September 2006. Quotes are due by 2:00 PM on 10 Octobe r 2006. The media selected for issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendment s shall solely be at the discretion of the Governme nt; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM.
