- This announcement is to amend the tentative date for the Pre-Proposal Conference and Site Visit and give information about base access for the site visit. ACQUISITION TIME LINE: The tentative date for a Pre-Proposal Conference with Site Visit is ch anged from 05 Nov 06 to 16 Nov 06. All other tentative dates remain the same. SITE VISIT AND PROCEDURES: An organized site visit is scheduled during the Pre-Proposal Conference. Detailed information on the exact time and location of the Pre-Proposal Co nference will be listed in the RFP. The Pre-Proposal Conference will likely be conducted in a local hotel meeting room in Doha, Qatar. The Site Visit will follow the Pre-Proposal Conference. Site Visit attendance is limited to two (2) people per firm. Attendance is not mandatory. The site visit date is subject to change at any time due to air base operations. To gain entry to Al Udeid Air Base, a Common Access Card (CAC) is required or a pre-arranged base pass is required. Site Visit attendees that d o not have a CAC must provide the following to Mr. David Peng outside the gate of Al Udeid Air Base between the hours of 1500-1530 local Qatar time on 1 Nov 06: (a) U.S. Contractors - completed base access form; copy of passport (page showing photo with b iographical data and page showing visa entry stamp); and 25 Riyals base access processing fee. (b) Qatar contractors - completed base access form; copy of residency card; and 25 Riyals base access processing fee. U.S. Contractors should contact the Embas sy of Qatar in Washington, DC to obtain an entry visa. Interested contractors should contact Mr. Anthony Garigliano to obtain the required base access form. Mr. Peng will process the paperwork and submit all collected funds to the Qatar security forces a nd have access papers ready for each site visit attendee at the Pre-Proposal Conference.
