- This is a combined synopsis-solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Purchase Request number is F2XTA16166A200. This is a Request for Quote using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR Subpart 13 and is for the purchase of: 0001 Six (6) Gateway E-9515R Servers; Part Number 1008654 OR EQUAL. Operating System: No operating system included. Chassis type: 2U Rack-Optimized Chassis. Processor: (2) Intel 3.00 GHz Xeon w/800MHz FSB and SDRAM (4x512MB modules) single rank. First Expansion slot riser: Three low-profile with second expansion slots riser (choose one): standard full-height riser with two (x4) PCIe and one (100MHz) PCI-X slots. Hard drive: (3) 73GB Ultra 320 SCSI SCA 10K Hot swappable drives. RAID card: LSI MegaRAID U320-1 One Channel U320 PCI 64/66 SCSI RAID controller w/64MB cache. RAID Level-controller: controller RAID Level 1-Mirroring-requires even number of drives and a controller or RAID card. All quotes must be received no later than 30 Sep 2006, 11:00 AM CST. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-07, dated 03 Jan 2006 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) change notice 20051220. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. This acquisition is being solicited as unrestricted and open market quotes are requested. Award will be made to one vendor. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 423430 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by either reference or full text and are to remain in full force in any resultant purchase order: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Item (Jan 2006) applies to this acquisition and is addended to delete paragraphs (e) Multiple offers and paragraph (h) Multiple Awards. The Government will make an award to the lowest priced, responsible, contractor whose proposal conforms to the solicitation. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, in Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF), and with the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) before an award can be made. Both CCR and ORCA registrations can be completed online through http://www.bpn.gov, and WAWF registration can be completed at https://wawf.eb.mil.
