Description
(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation FA4877-06-QU166 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12, effective August 4, 2006. (iv) This procurement is being issued as a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE IAW FAR 19.502 (a). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238330 and the small business size standard $13.0 Million. (v) Davis-Monthan Air Force Base is seeking potential contractor to: Resurface youth center gym floor and install Taraflex Sport M Plus Flooring. Flooring needed is 7352 sq ft. of Taraflex Sport M Plus, 1400 ft welding at seams; 320 ft Johnsonite 4? vented base; striping of basketball court and volleyball court. Taraflex is a synthetic sports surface layer, calandered and grained, associated with a PVC closed cell foam layer, reinforced by a non-woven fiberglass mesh complex, with 6.7 mm thickness and sound proofing ability. (vii) 52.237-2 -- Protection of Government Buildings, Equipment, and Vegetation applies. The Contractor shall use reasonable care to avoid damaging existing buildings, equipment, and vegetation on the Government installation. If the Contractor?s failure to use reasonable care causes damage to any of this property, the Contractor shall replace or repair the damage at no expense to the Government as the Contracting Officer directs. If the Contractor fails or refuses to make such repair or replacement, the Contractor shall be liable for the cost, which may be deducted from the contract price.
