- EXCEPT AS MODIFIED OR AMPLIFIED IN RFP, THIS ITEM CONTAINS CLASS "C" EXPLOSIVES. DFAR CLAUSE 252.223-7002, SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES (MAY 1994) APPLIES. THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS EXPLOSIVE NAVAL ORDNANCE ITEMS, WHICH REQUIRE SPECIAL SECURITY, SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION CLAUSES. THE CLAUSES MAY BE FOUND IN SECTION "I". CODE 0242.05 NOTE: PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE NAVY. THIS PROCUREMENT IS SOLE SOURCE. THIS ITEM IS PROPRIETARY TO KIDDE AEROSPACE. THE GOVERNMENT TDP IS NOT COMPLETE AND IS ONLY THE TOP DRAWING. THIS ITEM IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. QUANTITY ? 454 EACH ITEM DESCRIPTION: NSN: 1377-00-140-2651 AIRCRAFT FIRE EXTINGUISHER CARTRIDGE, MT23 USED TO EXTINGUISH FIRES ON CH/MH-53E HELICOPTERS. A SAFETY SURVEY WILL BE REQUIRED. EXPLOSIVE WEIGHT - .0009 LBS EXPLOSIVE CLASS ? 1.4 PRODUCTION LOT TESTING, CONTRACT DATA REQUIREMENT LIST AND FOB ORIGIN APPLY. A LIMITED DRAWING PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING ON THE WEB.
