ISSUE DATE: 27-SEPTEMBER-06 POSTED DATE: 27-SEPTEMBER-06 FSC CODE: 65 - Medical, dental & veterinary equipment & supplies TITLE: 65?TELEMETRY MONITORING SYSTEM SOL: 541-173-06 DUE: 29 SEPTEMBER 06 POP STATE: Not specified AGENCY: Attn: Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Contracting Officer, (90C), Brecksville, Ohio 44141 POC: Dara Greene Chapman DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Scott Care for the purchase of Telemetry Monitoring Systems. This proposed procurement action is for Telemetry Monitoring Systems for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 603.2. The VA believes that Scott Care is the only company that can provide Telemetry Monitoring System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 2 days from the date of publication of this announcement. Supporting evidence must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements for Telemetry Monitoring System. Information may be faxed to the Contracting Office at 440.838.6052. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Scott Care.
