The Government is releasing a solicitation for an unrestricted procurement action to provide an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle for Internal Security Services at the Victory Base Complex (VBC). The specific intent of this procurement is to provide defense security throughout the Victory base Complex (VBC) located in Baghdad, Iraq. The solicitation will contain contract line items for mobilization and security operations. A site visit at the VBC is scheduled for Monday 26 Jun 06, at 1000 hours at ECP #13. A 2-person limit per company restriction has been established for contractors attending the site visit. Contractors will be responsible for providing the names of all site visit attendees for VBC access approval not-later-than 1600 hours Thursday 22 June 06 or they will not be allowed access to the site visit. In addition, contractors are responsible for coordinating all travel arrangements. The Government intends that one firm fixed price IDIQ contract will be awarded as a result of this action. The resultant award is anticipated to include a two-year ordering period to place orders. The solicitation closing date has been established as 08 July 06, 1900 hours (local time). All potential offerors should contact the contract specialist identified in this synopsis for additional information and/or to communicate concerns. Offerors are encouraged to submit proposals electronically via e-mail, in lieu of, or in addition to, mail submission.
