The Government intends to execute an unrestricted procurement action to provide an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle for Internal Security Services at the Victory Base Complex. The specific intent of this procurement is to provide defense security throughout the Victory base Complex (VBC) located in Baghdad, Iraq. The solicitation will contain contract line items for mobilization and security operations. The site visit at VBC is tentatively scheduled for 12 Jun 06. Personnel manning and equipment will be required from offerors in response to the requirements identified in the solicitation. The Government intends that one firm fixed price IDIQ contract will be awarded as a result of this action. The resultant award is anticipated to include a one-year base period and two one-year option periods to place orders. Subject solicitation will be issued on or about 5 Jun 06 and posted to the FedBizOpps web page at www.fedbizopps.gov. The period of performance is anticipated to commence (mobilization) on 26 Jul 06. If you do not have Internet access, a hard copy of the solicitation may be requested. Only written or emailed requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable. All potential offerors should contact the contract specialist identified in this synopsis for additional information and/or to communicate concerns.
