- NOTICE OF INTENT OF SOLE SOURCE TO COLUMBIANA BOILER, LLC. The U.S. Army Engineering & Support Center, Huntsville, intends to issue a commercial-item purchase order on a sole source basis to Columbiana Boiler, LLC, 200 W. Railroad Street, Columbiana, OH 44408-0068 in the estimated amount between $150,000.00 and $1 75,000.00. This intent to make a sole-source award pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 is NOT a request for proposals. This contract is in support of the Support Equipment & Test Hardware (SE&TH) Program, part of the Chemical Materials Agencys specialized chemical weapon demilitarization program to provide 61 commercial Type D ton containers without valves or plugs to be delivered NLT 31 December 2006 to Stockton, UT. The containers must be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified for chlorine. Deseret Che mical Depots current mission is to plan and execute the storage and destruction of chemical weapons and their secondary waste in a manner that is safe, secure, environmentally sound, protects workers and the public and also to plan and complete depot clos ure. A major part of this mission is compliance with regulatory and Army requirements for an environmentally safe operation. Businesses that can provide the required services are invited to submit in writing, within three (3) business days, an affirmativ e response, which includes as a minimum, the proposed credentials, qualifications, past experience, and any additional information indicating bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requir ement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Telephone requests are not acceptable.
