Description

Pre-Solicitation Notice Description: W15P7T-06-R-C034 Combat Survivor Evader Location System (Non-Rechargeable Battery) The United States Army Communications Electronics Lifecycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) intends to solicit and award a sole source, three year Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity type contract in accordance with FAR 6.302.1. Only O ne Responsible Source, for the acquisition of up to 38,000 each, (CSEL) Non-Rechargeable Batteries, BA-5301/U, Part Number: MAI 901017, NSN: 6135-01-512-8740 with Mathews Associates, Inc. The guaranteed minimum quantity of 200 each with the initial ord er being approximately $51,000.00 Mathews Associates is the only source that has designed, and is producing a complete charging system for the CSEL system; therefore, it is the only known source with the capability to meet the Governments requirements. Mathews Associates, Inc. North Am erican Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is under 335912, with the Small Business size standard of 500. The required item, Part Number: MAI 901017 Non-Rechargeable Battery is used in support of the Combat Survivor Evader Locator system (CSEL) Sy stem which is being used in support of Operations Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF). The U.S. Army C-E LCMC has established the IBOP website as part of the Armys Single Face to Industry, to allow electronic posting of Solicitation for Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs), and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) for C-E L CMC to Industry. All parties interested in doing business with C-E LCMC are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP at http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. All responsible sources must submit a proposal via the IBOP, which shall be considered by the Agency. The response date specified in the Solicitation shall override the response date specified in this Pre-Solicitation Notice. The Solicitation issue date will be approximately 27 October 2006.
