- The 4th Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source purchase order to Peggs Recreation & Architectural Products Inc. Required items are playground structures and pur-n-play surface. Items to be purchased are: CLIN 0001: 2036 SF of 50 color, 50 black 1 3/4" thick pour-n-place surfacing. CLIN 0002: Custom Playbuilders structure, Manufacturer: Little Tikes Commercial, P/N QUO32739, 1 Ea. CLIN 0003: Installation of structure. CLIN 0004: Installation of Pour-n-Place Surface. Statement of Work 1. SCOPE: The work covered by these specification consists of furnishing all plans, labor, equipment, appliances and performing all operations to provide and install pour-n-place impact surfacing (50 Color/50 Black) playground equipment (Custom Playbuilders Structure #QU032739) in Bldg 1030 Langley Ave, Child Development Center. 2. LOCATION: This work is to be done at 1030 Langley Ave. Seymour Johnson AFB, NC 3. WORK WEEK: The contractor shall install the playground equipment and pour-n-place impact surfacing during the work day, days to be determined. Thirty days from beginning of installation are authorized to complete the work satisfactorily in a timely manner and minimize disruption. Work hours will be 0800-1700 Monday through Friday. Any deviations from this schedule shall require approval from contracting officer. 4. EMPLOYEES: The contractor shall ensure all employees working on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base possess proper identification and/or citizenship documentation. Under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), employers may hire only persons who may legally work in the United States (i.e., citizens and nationals of the U.S.) and aliens authorized to work in the U.S. The employer must verify the identity and employment eligibility of anyone to be hired (Ref: U.S. Department of Labor: http://www.dol.gov/compliance/guide/aw.htm#whowhich) 5. WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship will comply with standard trade practice. 6. CLEANING: Contractor shall keep the worksite free from accumulations of waste materials. All waste generated by any work under this contract shall be handled, transported, stored and disposed of off base by the contractor in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws. Daily upon completions of this contract, the contractor shall leave the work site and premises in clean, neat conditions, satisfactory to the contracting officer or his representative. 7. PROTECTION OF FACILITY: The contractor will guarantee all material and workmanship for a period of 1 year form completions of work. 8. ORDER OF WORK: Contractor shall install Playbuilders Structure and pour-n-place impact surfacing to include pouring concrete, prep forming and concrete for sub-base for pour-n-place surfacing. Contractor shall provide all necessary supplies. Contractor shall procure and provide installation of Playbuilders Structure and pour-n-place surfacing. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract lies solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement. The closing date for this synopsis is 28 SEP 06 at 10:00 A.M.
