Description
The US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has the following needs: a) to provide training courses on DYNASMART-P. b) to provide Technical support to DYNASMART-P users and the FHWA. c) To refine DYNASMART-P DYNASMART-P was recently released to the public through the McTrans Center, and represents a new intelligent transportation network operations planning tool intended to address operational issues in transportation planning and to develop and evaluate traffic management and control strategies, particularly in the ITS context. The target audience to receive this manual will be transportation practitioners from the State, city, and local level, and members of the public. The manual will focus on the principles of traffic signal timing, identify sound timing practices, and be a practical and comprehensive tabletop resource. The services under the proposed contract will include project administration, demonstrating DYNASMART-P, conducting training workshops, providing technical support to the FHWA and DYNASMART-P users, and to refine and enhance DYNASMART-P. The Government anticipates awarding a contract with an 12-month base period of performance and two option years. NO FURTHER SOLICITATION INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. This solicitation will be available electronically through the Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. No written, telephonic, facsimile, or e-mail requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. Since this solicitation will only be available electronically, it is the responsibility of interested parties to monitor the EPS website for any solicitation amendments. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the FHWA.
