- TITLE CORRECTION - THE CORRECT TITLE FOR THIS PROJECT IS AS FOLLOWS - HISTORIC MITIGATION AND LANDSCAPE REPAIRS, NAVAL ACTIVITIES IN THE PENSACOLA FLORIDA AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY. Naval Facilities Engineering Command is issuing the following Sources Sought for proposed contract N62467-05-R-0208 listed herein is being considered for 100% Set Aside for Small Business in the first quarter of fiscal year 06. All interested Small Business concerns will notify this office via email of their intention to submit a proposal on the proposed Request for Proposal as a prime contractor no later than 04 October 2005 @ 2:00 PM (EDT). This notification/submittal must include (1) the name, address, and small business size status of the firm; (2) past performance references to include the name, contract number, point of contact and phone number; (3) evidence of experience in the design and construction of projects that are similar in size and scope, for construction projects in the range between $9,000,000 and $12,000,000; (4) A statement reflecting your firm has access to or a list of landscape architects, historic mitigation architects, and other design and construction disciplines readily available that will be required to perform the work described in this synopsis. (5) Statement from the Surety that your firm is bondable for a project of this magnitude. If adequate interest is not received from qualified prospective contractors, consideration will then be given to advertising this requirement Unrestricted. The contract will be identified as N62467-05-R-0208. This project consists of the design and construction of the following: Hardscape construction consisting of three concrete and masonry pedestrian plazas at NAS Pensacola, FL. Plazas will include seating, lighting, signage, and displays and plaques that will commemorate historic facilities. Construct a water feature and irrigation system in the main plaza. Provide landscaping, seating and lighting along existing and new walkways connecting the plazas. Vegetation replacement including removal of dead and hazardous trees and pruning dead limbs from damaged trees. Provide new native and indigenous trees and shrubs along the main roads and throughout the developed areas of the Gulf Coast Region Activities (NAS Pensacola, NAS Whiting Field, NTTC Corry Station, and Saufley Field) that were adversely affected by Hurricanes Ivan, Dennis and Katrina. Nature Trail Repairs includes the replacement of osprey nesting platforms at NAS Pensacola and the repair of the following recreational areas: Trout Point Nature Trail, Bayou Grande Nature Trail, Lake Frederick fishing area, Saufley Field nature Trail and Fishing Boardwalk, and Clear Creek Nature Trail at NAS Whiting Field. Repair of nature trails includes debris removal and reconstruction of wood boardwalks, decks, signage, benches, gates, parking areas, footbridges, and gazebos. The successful proposer’s team shall include at a minimum, Landscape Architects, Historic Mitigation Architects, and other design and construction disciplines required to perform the work described above. The NAICS Code is 237990 All other Special Trade Contractors and Size Standard is $28.5M.
