- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT RESULT IN AN ORDER AGAINST A FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE. ANY OFFER WHICH IS PREDICATED UPON THE AWARD BEING PLACED AGAINST AN FSS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. The purchase of (1) Lot HP with includes: 1 each ? HP Integrity rx8640 Server 1 each ? HP Integrity rx4640 Server 1 each ?Wintel Server, HP DL5806 G3 7/3.0 4MB Quotes are preferred for HP vendors and quotes for ?or equal? products will not be considered. Prices should be FOB Destination (Robins AFB GA 31098). Mfr: HP Justification for Brand Name Only: To match existing servers. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION DDS RI HARDWARE 1.1 Design Purchase HP servers for storage of the Depot Maintenance Accounting Production System (DMAPS) application and corresponding data. 1.2 The requirement specifications by the Depot Maintenance Accounting Production System (DMAPS) application will be satisfied by the HP server as listed below. 1.2.1 The HP 8640 is a mid tier UNIX server ? it will be used as the DMAPS reporting database PRODUCTION server. 1.2.2 The HP 4640 is a small er mid-tier and will provide a centralized DMAPS reporting database TEST server. These two UNIX servers will be the Oracle database servers that will house the Oracle tables used in DMAPS reports and ad-hoc queires. 1.2.3 The Wintel Servers (HP Wintel Windows Servers) (one production, one test) will be Cognos reporting tool or application servers (Cognos Impromptu, ReportNet, PowerPlay, Notice Cast and Metrics Manager). 1.2.4 These tools are utilized to build reports based on the Oracle tables on the HP mid tier servers. It is vital to maintain the HP to HP relationship with the HP 8640 that houses the DDS database as well as the HP UNIX to HP Windows to avoid reporting format discrepancies when moving from HP to another platform. 1.3 Applications 1.3.1 DMAPS reporting database will reside on the servers 1.4 Additional Requirements - None 1.5 Installation and Training 1.5.1 The install will be at Robins AFB Building 228 Server room 1.5.2 On-site start up training provided for government employees will be provided by the vendor 1.6 Warranty 1.6.1 Standard commercial warranty for items of this tpe, design and model is satisfactory 1.7 Documentation 1.7.1 Provide documentation on a CD-ROM covering electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, printed operating instructions, and operator maintenenace instructions/manuals shall be supplied.
