Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Total Grounds Management Solution Snow Removal and Landscaping Services The United States Postal Service is seeking information from suppliers with capabilities to implement and manage a Total Grounds Management Solution (TGMS) for Snow Removal Services, Landscaping Services, or both Snow Removal and Landscaping Services at postal facilities in the following states: ME, NH, NY, VT. Suppliers interested and capable of proactively implementing and managing Snow Removal Services, Landscaping Services, or both Snow Removal and Landscaping Services for postal facilities in the states listed above, should address all questions to the email address listed below. Responses to this RFI are due September 29, 2006. General Information Product/Service Classification (PSC) Code: Z ? Maintenance, Repair and Alteration of real property Contracting Office Address U. S. Postal Service, Western Services Commodity Management Center ? Chicago (WSCMC-Chicago), 150 South Wacker Drive, Suite 200, Chicago Illinois 60606-4103. Description Under the TGMS concept, one supplier proactively manages all snow removal and/or landscaping requirements at each designated postal facility. Analyze needs at each designated postal facility. Identify snow removal and/or landscaping needs ? salt/sand spreading, snow hauling and removal as required, shoveling and salting of walks, mulching, fertilization, mowing, etc. Reduce costs and propose process improvement recommendations through right-sizing/right-servicing. Manage snow and landscaping subcontractors, as applicable. Provide clear and concise monthly management reports electronically to WSCMC-Chicago Supply Management personnel. Provide a 24-hour, toll-free customer service support phone number. Provide an online website, through which USPS personnel can access and download monthly reports and service status. Response The response process is as follows: Interested suppliers should provide detailed information on their ability to perform as described above. Suppliers should identify if they are able to provide service to all states listed. If not, supplier should identify which segments of the states that they are interested in.
