- Synopsis: Solicitation Number: W91YTZ-06-T-0196 Classification: 65 Medical Dental & Veterinary Equipment & Supplies NAICS 339112 This is a notice of the Governments intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Medtronic Powered Surgical Solutions, Fort Worth, Texas, the sole manufacturer and distributor of the Midas Rex Legend EHS Surgical Drill used for the Departmen t of Surgery, Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bagg, North Carolina. The anticipated date of award is Sept 26, 2006. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 and 6.302 -1 for Other Than Full and Open Competition. This notice is neither a request for a competitive proposal nor a solicitation for offers. A determination not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to the notice is solely within the discret ion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
