- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, and supplemental information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quota tions are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) The reference number for this effort is W912ES-06-T-0081 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation document are those in effect at the time of publication. Provisions and clauses incorporated by reference have the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The full tex t of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations supplement (DFARs) can be accessed on the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ (iv) This solicitation is set-aside 100% for small business. The associated NAICS code is 541519 and the small business size standard is less than 23 million dollars. (v) This requirement consists of 5 line items. (vi) Work to be completed under this purchase order will consist of the following: (1) Part Number: S180498-0LE000, Description: Backup Exec 10d, Windows, Servers with Continuous Protection Server (CPC), v10.1, Combo 1 year. Quantity: 7 (2) Part Number: S180668-0LE000 Description: Backup Exec 10d, Windows, SAN Shared Storage Option, v10.1, Combo 1 year Quantity: 8 (3) Part Number: S180518-0LE000 Description: Backup Exec 10d, Windows, Advanced Disk Backup Option, v10.1, Combo 1 year Quantity: 8 (4) Part Number: S180548-0LE000 Description: Backup Exec 10d, Windows Central Admin Server Option, v10.1, Combo 1 Year Quantity: 1 (5) Part Number: Description: Installation and set-up of the above software at a single location (St. Paul, MN). (vii) Deliverables and acceptance of deliverables will be FOB destination, St. Paul, MN. All items are to be delivered as of 30 November 2006. (viii) The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. (ix) A competitive award will be made to the responsible firm with the lowest priced quote. ****NOTE**** All offerers must be registered Veritas partners authorized to install and set-up the above software.
