Description: PRweb is a web-based software that allows for electronic automated Standard Procurement System (SPS) and Procurement Desktop-Defense (PD2) requirements generation, routing, and status reports. PRweb provides a paperless channel between requiring act ivities (those who need the goods and services) and SPS. Users create purchase requests for supplies and services from their desktop web browser in PRweb. These requests are then routed to other PRweb users for additional information, funding commitment, and approval and then are inserted directly into the contracting office's SPS system for processing. With PRweb, clients are able to find out the status of their purchase request anytime of the day, regardless of location because PRweb is built to levera ge the Internet.
