- This Notice is hereby cancelled and has been re-posted on a competitive basis limited to SMALL BUSINESSES. Please refer to Combined Synopsis/Solicitation No. HHSF223200610846. The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Purchase Order on a sole source basis to Rees Scientific, based on the authority granted by FAR Part 6.302-1, for a service maintenance agreement for the alarm system for 276 freezers. Rees Scientific (RS) is the manufacturer of the alarm system on the 276 freezers and has provided maintenance service for this system for the past 11 years. RS has also a parts inventory for these particular units and therefore is able to provide quick resolution of problems. The use of a different contractor to perform this maintenance will require a new alarm system for the 276 freezers, new software and training for all the staff. The service maintenance agreement includes: * New Software Updates, when available. * Once Yearly PM Visit and IQIOQ Test. * GMPIGLP IQIOQ Validation Report. * Software Validation Test Report. * Calibration of Temp and Humidity with NIST Traceable Equipment. * On-Site Refresher Training at PM Visit. * Telephone Support, 24 Hours a Day, Seven days a Week. * Service Calls when Needed. * Parts Available from Factory Overnight. * All Parts and Labor to Restore System to Normal if a Problem Arises. * Trade-Out Parts to Minimize Down Time. An award will be made in five (5) days from the date of this notice. This is not a request for quotes; however, sources may submit descriptive literature, fully documenting their capabilities, which will be considered by the agency. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This sole source procurement will be awarded as a simplified acquisition for commercial items in accordance with FAR Subpart 13.5.
