- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N65236-06-R- 0982 is issued as a request for proposal. The incorporated document, provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-12 and DFARS Change Notice 20060908. This procurement will be awarded through a competitive process. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 332999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston has a requirement to procure I and Y Cables for MK1955/USC Cable. The I and Y Cables are necessary spare parts to complete refurbishments of Integrated Housing Groups/Ship Shelf Assemblies (IHG/SSA). The part numbers/drawing numbers for the required cables are as follows: I Cable, Part Number 0126292 and Y Cable, Part Number 0126336. This is a commercial item requirement to purchase a quantity of (100) I Cables and (100)Y Cables. The proposal should include Free On Board (f.o.b.) Destination shipping terms. Delivery will be to SPAWARSYSCEN North Charleston, SC 29419. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The Government will award in accordance with FAR part 13 on a lowest price technically acceptable basis. The offeror shall provide backup information verifying the price offered; e.g. a copy of current catalog, invoices for the same equipment, etc. The clause at 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors ??? Commercial Items (Jan 2006) is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2 Evaluation ???
