- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO in unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, NSWCDD, intends to purchase the following Brand Name or Equal items: A quantity of two thousand (2,000) - Verbatim 2.6GB, 5.25 inches Rewritable Optical Disk, part number 91204. The following items are known to be equals: Philips part number 72PDO and Sony part number EDM-2600C. To be considered for award, responders must provide documentation verifying the quoted product is equal to that requested with matching salient characteristics. The salient characteristics are as follows: Media form Factor ? 5.25 inches, Native Capacity ? 2.6 GB, Recording Format ? 1,024 bytes/ sector, Product Description - Rewritable Mo Magneto Optical. The equipment will be used at the Naval Surface Weapons Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in existing computer equipment. The optical disk will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. These items will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 22 September 2006 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Anticipated award date is 25 September 2006. All items are to be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, VA. Delivery shall be 4 weeks after receipt of order. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE.
