- This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the procedures at FAR 13. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and the attached solicitation. Solicitation Number N00164-06-R-8732 http://www.crane.navy.mil/supply/synopcom.htm is hereby issued as an attachment hereto. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane web site, FedBizOpps and/or NECO for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Design Data Systems, Incorporated, 7606 Lindberg Drive, Gaithersburg MD, under the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304( c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Interested parties may respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
