Description

The National Park Service anticipates issuing a Prospectus this winter season for providing automobile service station operations in Yellowstone National Park. Since most of the facilities will be inaccessible during the winter season, parties interested in this business opportunity can view the properties during a scheduled site visit on Tuesday, October 10, 2006. The site visit is not required to submit a proposal for the Prospectus, but attendance is encouraged. The site visit will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Yellowstone National Park Headquarters Office at Mammoth. No questions specific to the Prospectus will be entertained during the site visit. Questions specific to the Prospectus will be answered after the Prospectus is issued. The site visit will view existing concession facilities and address questions about the existing Concession Contract. Service stations related to this contract are located at each major developed area throughout the Park. The traditional operating season for the service stations is generally from mid April to mid October. As a result of the National Park Service Concessions Management Improvement Act of 1998, the current concessioner does not have a preference in the renewal of its contract. The annual gross receipts for this Concession Contract averaged $5.1 million from 2001 through 2005.
