Description

SAN FELIPE DAY SCHOOL FACILITES IMPROVEMENT AND SCHOOL EXPANSION PROJECT, SANDOVAL COUNTY, NEW MEXICO. The proposed procurement is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 236220 (former SIC code 1542), with a size stand ard of $31,000,000.00. The magnitude of construction is greater than $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. The offerors attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plan s will be issued on or about October 6, 2006, with proposals due on or about November 20, 2006. This solicitation will not be issued on paper. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the following minimum goals: 51.2% for sma ll business; 8.8% for small disadvantaged business; 7.3% for women-owned small business; 3.1% for HUBZone small business; and 1.5% for service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Offerors are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or r evised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. WORK CONSISTS of the construction of the San Felipe Day School expansion and facility renovation. The work includes approximately 53,000 sq. ft . of expansion and 14,000 sq. ft. of renovation consisting of steel stud partitions with masonry unit (CMU) and stucco exterior walls; steel bar joists, metal deck, and membrane roofing system; interior electrical mechanical, plumbing and special systems. Exterior work includes 65,000 gallon fire service ground mounted water storage tank, fire line installation and hydrants; new parking lot and access drives of asphalt paving with concrete curb and gutter and wire fence at the perimeter of the property. THE PROJECT will be advertised as a Request for Proposal. Competitive proposals will be evaluated based on the evaluation criteria set forth in the solicitation package. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best overall value to the Government. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract.
