Description
POC: Mary Beth Watkins, Contracting Officer. The US Army Sustainment Command is issuing a Sources Sought announcement to identify parties interested in submitting offers for the production of: NAICS code 332993, Ammunition (except Small Arms) Manuf acturing. Respondents must be eligible to receive US Government owned TDPs. A Four Year Firm Fixed Price Multiyear contract is contemplated with the anticipated award in the second quarter of FY 08. Approximate total annual quantities are 80,000 each, M 865s; and 40,000 each, M1002s. The current intent is for split awards restricted to two system contractors. Deliveries for the first year must begin not later than nine(9) months after award or October 2008, whichever is later. All firms interested must submit a statement that demonstrates their expertise, experience, and capabilities in 120mm Tank Ammunition production, process control, and design. The statement must include experience in systems contracting and systems integration; demonstrated annual production quantities; annual production capacity; history of meeting delivery schedules; the quality system in place; process control techniques applied; expertise in factors which affect ballistic performance to include production processes; capability in ballistic testing and analysis; and expertise to develop improvements in processes, controls, and design to reduce costs. Respondents must also include a Subcontracting Plan with intended sources for major components of each cartridge. Information sub mitted shall include company size and organization, personnel, critical skills and facilities that meet the specific 120mm needs. Submissions must be made electronically. Microsoft Word is preferred but not required. However, submission by facsimile wil l be accepted. The facsimile number is (309) 782-1776. Preprinted brochures or literature may accompany the statement. No proprietary information should accompany the response to this sources sought announcement. This synopsis is not a Request for Prop osal.
