- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. We have a requirement for refurbishment of the Hound Dog and Athena rockets. The following apply: The missiles will be removed from White Sands Missile Range park, stripped of 10-12 la yers of paint, repaired as needed, missing parts replaced as specified, sealed with a base primer, painted in historic patterns specified by the Museum, and Clear coated. The Athena missile is 50 feet in length, 31 inches in diameter, and weighs 16,000 po unds. The Hound Dog is 43 feet in length, 28 inches in diameter, weighs 10,000 pounds and has a wingspan of 12 feet. This is a 100 % Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable NAICS code is 712110 with a size standard of 6.5 million. Award will be made FOB Destination (White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico 88002). Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. Payment will be made by Government Credit Card under Net 30 Terms. You must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (http:// www.ccr.gov/). EVALUATION CRITERIA / PROCEDURES: Reference: FAR clause 52.212-2 Evaluation Commercial Items. Award will be made to the lowest priced responsive and responsible offeror. The Synopsis/ solicitation document and incorporated provisions a nd clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-22 and 2001-23. From the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the following provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-3, FAR 52.212-4, FAR 52.212-5, FAR (52.203-6 Alt I), 52.219-6, 52.219-8, 52.219-14, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52. 222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-39, 52.232-36, 52.225-13).
