- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a Notice of the Governments intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Steen Cannon and Ordinance Works, Ashland KY. The US Army, Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region C ontracting Center West, 2107 17th Street, Suite 15, Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234-5015, has a requirement for the contractor to provide the following items for display at the U.S. Army Medical Department Museum, Building 2840, Fort Sam Houston TX: Two (2) ea ch Non-Firing 6-pounder in cast iron Cannons, Model Number 1841, cast solid, machine drilled 6-8 inches deep with a 3.67 bore; 2,200 each, Surcharge iron; Two (2) each, Field Artillery Gun Carriage; Two (2) each, Crating; Two (2) each, Shipping/Handling. Responses should reference Request for Quotation Number W9124J-06-T-0142. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 332995. The size standard is 500 employees. The f ollowing clauses cited in FAR 52.212-5 are applicable to this acquisition: 52.225-1, Buy American Act; 52.225-3, Buy American Act Free Trade Agreement Israeli Trade Act; 52.215-5 -- Facsimile Proposals.
