Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposal s are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W911RZ06CAPRA and the solicitation is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in e ffect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 05-09. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 112420 with a small business size standard of $750,000.00. This requirement is 100% set-aside for a small business and only qualified offerors will be considered for this award. Qualified offerors must be USDA certified (Class A OR Class B), live within a 3 hour driving radius from Fort Carson, and be able to provide the first delivery mid-October 2006. Exact date will be provided after contract award. The Government will require approximately 150 male goats (Capra Hircus) on an annual basis. There is no preference of strain/stock. Each goat should be at least 50 pounds but no more than 80 pounds at time of delivery. Goats must be clinically healthy and free of zoonotic diseases. Contractor will be notified approximately 30 days prior to delivery date. Contractor shall be required to deliver a maximum of 26 goats on each order. An order can be placed 30 days after the previous order. If more than 26 goats are required at one time or less than 30 days of the previous order, the contractor will be notified at least 60 days prior to delivery date. Goats can not be fed the night prior to delivery. All goats will be inspected by a Fort Carson Veteri narian and accepted as disease-free. The Government intends to award a REQUIREMENTS contract to the lowest price, techically acceptable offeror. The proposal should contain the offerors best terms; discounts and price (including delivery charges). Contract Line Item Description (CLIN): CL IN 0001  Livestock, Goats. Estimate 150 goats.
