- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source delivery order for a service program agreement for two service and maintenance on two Innovation Associates, Inc. model Pharmassist, manufactured by Innovation Associate, 627 Field St., Johnson City, NY 13790. This service agreement is needed in order to keep this equipment in proper working order. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a delivery order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Innovation Associates, Inc. is the developer of the original piece of equipment and is currently the only known authorized source for this service agreement. The procurement of this service agreement needs to be completed in a timely manner in order for the 55th Medical Group to meet its mission requirements. Nature and/or description of the action being approved (FAR 6.303?2(a)(2)). a. Due to the circumstances described below, this Justification and Approval (J&A) authorizes use of other than full and open competition procedures to procure maintenance service for the PharmAssist prescription dispensing system at Ehrling Bergquist clinic and Satellite pharmacies from Innovation Associates. b. This J&A is initiated because there is Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirements. The resulting contract is anticipated be a firm-fixed price, GSA Schedule order. This new procurement is to satisfy genuine needs of the 55th Medical Group, Offutt AFB, NE. The required delivery date is 1/Oct/2006 (or) The period of performance will be from 1/Oct/2006 through 30/Sep/2007
