- The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), White River Jct., VT., intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for a Smartcycler System with Cepheid of Sunnyvale, CA. System will include, but not be limited to, two (2) processing blocks with independent reaction sites, each with a four (4) color optical excitation and detection which includes a destop computer with flat panel monitor, diagnostic software, operator's manual, four (4) tube racks, cooling block, mini-centrifuge and (100) 25 uL reaction tubes. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. No solicitation document is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contracting Officer. Responses received on or before September 26, 2006 will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the Government.
