- The Department of Veterans Affairs located in Dayton Ohio, through a combined synopsis/solicitation procedure is requesting the following services: Environmental Consultant Services. The contractor's principal responsibility is to provide personnel, equipment and insurance to accomplish the Three-Year Facility AHERA Asbestos Re-inspection in accordance with AHERA 40 CFR Part 763, OAC 3701-34, 29 CFR 126.1101, 29 CFR 1910.1001. Contractor must be registered in Central Contract Registration to be able to receive a government contract. This can be done by going to ccr.gov and registering. EST on September 19, 2006. Due to previous sampling being inadequate in some areas, the plaster and drywall/mud needs to be re-sampled and those areas are identified on page two (2), Section D of the Specification 01010. The regulations provide guidance on the amount of samples to be collected; approximately 150 PLM samples. All certifications, licensures, etc. must be obtained prior to award of the contract. There will be a VA representative available to assist the team in access to the buildings needing inspection. Contractor must be certified by the Ohio Dept of Health. For insurance, please see the Supplemental Insurance Requirements Section of the solicitation and FAR 52.228-5. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
